BRISTOL:
Redland: 20 Waxwing at Redland railway station Lover's Walk 9.45am (AD Scott).

HOAR GOUT (nr Avonmouth):
A Cetti's Warbler calling at the Vosa pool, first here for some time. On the pool, a Little Grebe, 4 Gadwall, 31 Teal and 2 Tufted Duck (per severnsidebirds).

CLEVEDON:
A Crane seen and heard flying over the town 8.30am this morning, heading towards the coast (per CJ Stone). Could be a genuine migrant or possibly a wanderer from the recently released birds in Somerset.

BATH:
A Waxwing seen and heard at Copseland, Claverton Down 11am (D French).

Outstanding records for 2010:
Many thanks to everyone who answered the first call and sent in supporting descriptions for some locally rare or unusual species seen in Avon during last year.

There are still a few more descriptions which the Recorder would dearly like to get his hands on in order to include them in the county report which is being written now.

The updated list is posted to our Club News page. Please do your best for the birds sake. Thanks.
