New Passage: 8.30am-9.30am: 32 Shelduck, 28 Wigeon, 22 Teal, 66 Oystercatcher, 9 Redshank, a single Turnstone and 2 Raven.
Severn Beach: 2 Peregrine (attacking a feral Pigeon), a ♀ Blackcap and 2 Raven.
Chittening Warth: just a single Jack Snipe at Stup Pill of note (per severnsidebirds).
PORTBURY WHARF:
At Tranquility Base this morning, 4 Little Grebe, 6 Mute Swan, 14 Canada Goose, 19 Wigeon, 6 Gadwall, 6 Teal, 3 Shoveler, 3 Pochard, 12 Tufted Duck and 2 calling Cetti's Warbler around the pools and scrub. In the horsefields, 9 Fieldfare and 20+ Redwing (S Hale).
PILL:
A Merlin near the M5 Avonmouth bridge 9am this morning (V Savery).

In keeping with the Avon trend, one or two Ring-billed Gulls can be expected at the lake on spring passage every so often but they are rare elsewhere in Avon.

We've just received this photo of a Parakeet in a garden at Cottrell Rd, Eastville. It was first seen in mid-January and has been back in the garden at least 4 times in recent weeks. Many thanks Dennis.
