Sightings 13/4/11

BRISTOL:
Henbury: 6 Brambling in song at Moorgrove Wood (B Lancastle).

PILL:
river Avon foreshore: 12 Oystercatcher, 9 Ringed Plover, 2 Turnstone, a Peregrine, 2 Wheatear, 2 Whitethroat, single Raven, 4 Linnet and 4 Bullfinch (R Hawley).

PORTBURY DOCK ESTATE:
A reeling Grasshopper Warbler at the Drove Rhyne near the Kerry warehouse/old Dusky Warbler site (J Williams).

PORTBURY WHARF:
A Grasshopper Warbler and a Lesser Whitethroat (new) near the 1st hide along wharf lane this morning (S Hale).

This evening: 300 Swallow, 70 House Martin and 30 Sand Martin over the pools, birds grounded by the rain (K Bainbridge).

ANCHOR HEAD (W-s-M):
A Sandwich Tern upriver 8.30am (per westonbirds).

BERROW:
240 Oystercatcher and 7 Whimbrel on the beach this morning (per SOS)

Severnside 7/4/11:
Late report received of a Stonechat at Chittening Warth (per severnsidebirds). Our only Stonechat report of April so far.
