Sightings 7/5/11

Good News:  the Sightings Page team is away birding in Norfolk next week so no daily updates for members to have to put up with.


Bad News: we're taking our camera with us!

OLDBURY POWER STATION:
1 Peregrine, 2 Lapwing, 2 Dunlin, 6 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 1 Cuckoo and a Swift (combined reports, W King, A Middleton).

SEVERNSIDE: per severnsidebirds
NP-NW: a flyover Honey Buzzard 11am of note (just the one).

CLAPTON MOOR:
Single Hobby, Peregrine and Whinchat seen early on and later a Red Kite at 4pm (H Taffs). Presumably, the bird seen on Thursday.

KINGSTON SEYMOUR:
A Hobby this morning at Bullocks cafe (H Taffs).

NAILSEA:
9 Swifts over the house and near a traditional nest site today. Also a juvenile Mistle Thrush in the garden (M Thomas).

SAND BAY/PT:
3 Ringed Plover, 12 Dunlin, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit and a Garden Warbler (per westonbirds).
